About
Our vision is a prosperous coastal community and mission is to empower the communities of coastal areas through participatory mobilisation and interventions in health, education, environmental conservation and sustainable livelihoods.
Background of FACE
Fishermen Association for Community Empowerment (FACE) is a non political, non governmental registered organization working towards empowerment of communities in the coastal area. A team of professionals work for the organization striving to strengthen institutes and provide critical support to stake holders already working in the coastal belt. FACE have strong youth boys and girls. Our ojectives are:
- To contribute towards improving the condition of coastal and marine fisheries and related resources by improving the management of coastal resources.
- To increase income of coastal communities through provision of alternative livelihood opportunities.
- To advocate the fishermen’s rights on high level and protect the natural resources.
- To empower communities through interventions of health, education, capacity building and social mobilization.
Organizational Structure of FACE
- Registered with S.S.W.D in JAN 2010. Registration No. DSW/ 3397/2009 (1961)
- A total of 100 members with 85 General Body Members and 15 Executive ody Members
- Commencement of Executive committee meetings once a month and General body meetings after 6 months

Our services in Rehri Village, UC Rehri Dist Malir Karachi
Formal Education System.
We conceived a free of cost schooling system in 2012 and with the help of our community, donors, and partners now run a school in Rerhi Village.
Mahigeer Daycare
The loss of our ecology has forced our women to take up jobs in the neary export processing zone. To ease those working mothers and thw teachers dedicated to Mahigeer Academy, we have developed a fully functional daycare for kids.

In accordance with provincial, national, and international and ensure a bright future of our youth we advocate against child marriages in our community

Climate change, unregulated and unsustainable fishing practices, and disenfranchisement of the coastal communities has left our community vulnerable to natural disasters, economic hardships, and regression.
